This Woman Mixed Up Superglue and Eye Drops and Now Her Eye's Glued Shut

Katherine Gaydos from Florida was outside her house when a man with a leaf blower accidentally blew some dust into her eyes.

“Something blew into my eye and I screamed for someone else to get eye drops out of my purse and they brought Super Glue,” she told TV station WPBF.

“As soon as I felt it in my eye I felt it burn and I closed my eye and screamed ‘Call 911′.”

She went to the doctor, but because she didn’t have insurance she was sent away.

Her eye stayed sealed shut for nine days before her story was broadcast on TV. The doctor’s surgery must have been a bit embarrassed, because they asked her to come back and managed to get her eye open again.

“He said I should get my sight back, and not have permanent damage,” she said.
