Hollywood Boulevard was bursting with tropical vibes and star power at the Lilo & Stitch live-action premiere — and it was nothing short of magical! Held at the iconic El Capitan Theatre, the blue carpet shimmered with island flair, from vibrant florals to tiki torches, setting the stage for one of Disney’s most beloved stories to make its grand return.
Right in the heart of the action was our Hollywood Correspondent Dean McCarthy, soaking up the electric energy and chatting with the film’s A-list cast.
Dean scored an exclusive interview with the always-hilarious Zach Galifianakis, who lends his voice to the mischievously brilliant Dr. Jumba Jookiba. Zach opened up about his unique approach to parenting — yep, he used to tell his kids he was a librarian! — and shared how special it was bringing his family to Hawaii during filming, all thanks to his close bond with director Dean Fleischer Camp.
The red carpet buzzed as stars like Maia Kealoha (our new Lilo), Sydney Elizebeth Agudong (Nani), Billy Magnussen, Tia Carrere, and Courtney B. Vance made their way through a sea of flashing cameras and screaming fans. The film stays true to the heartwarming tale we all adore — about ohana, friendship, and a blue alien who changes everything.
The premiere was a full-on celebration of the magic Disney brings complete with laughter, aloha spirit, and a whole lot of love for Experiment 626.
