RAYE drops album tracklist and slams 'leaker'

RAYE has officially unveiled the track list for her highly anticipated album This Music May Contain Hope, dropping March 27, and the reveal is packed with star power, family ties, and a little bit of drama.

The 17-track album is divided into four “seasons,” taking listeners on an emotional journey through winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Winter, spring, and summer each feature four songs, while autumn delivers a slightly longer chapter with five tracks.

The guest list is just as impressive as the concept. Rock & Roll Hall of Fame soul legend Al Green appears on “Goodbye Henry,” while Oscar-winning film composer Hans Zimmer collaborates on the cinematic “Click Clack Symphony.” RAYE also brings family into the spotlight: her sisters Abby-Lynn Keen and Lauren Keen, who perform as Absolutely and Amma, join her on the album.

RAYE says the song was inspired by the rhythmic sound of high heels and represents those moments when life feels heavy — and the friends who pull us out of the house when we need it most.

Another slide in RAYE’s Instagram reveal introduces the colourful cast of characters behind the project. Among them is “Gramma,” also known as Agatha Dawson-Amoah (RAYE’s real-life grandmother) who famously delivers the line “Your husband is coming” in the viral hit “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” RAYE told People last year that her grandmother is “literally my best friend.”

Family continues to shape the album on “Fields.”, which features Grandad Michael. Not only is he RAYE’s grandfather, he’s also a songwriter. In fact, RAYE even brought him onstage with her in 2024 when she accepted a major award.

But the reveal wasn’t entirely celebratory. In the final slide, RAYE holds up a handwritten note calling out whoever leaked the track list early:
“To the mean person who leaked track list you rlly suck (big thumbs down).”

Despite the leak, the official track list promises a powerful, personal listening experience:
