Lorde stuns on the cover of Variety's 'Power of Women' issue

When is she never stunning?

Lorde has graced the cover of Variety's 'Power of Women' issue which was released overnight. 

Variety shone that light on women in the entertainment industry who continue to use their voices to support worthy causes. One of those stars was our very own Lorde. 

After the well-awaited release of her latest album 'Solar Power', Lorde resisted the temptation to bring out a CD version, demonstrating her commitment to slowing the speed of climate change.

It's worth noting that 52% of album sales in the US for Melodrama were physical CD's, so it was no small decision. 

In the behind-the-scenes video of the shoot, Lorde also touches on what it means to her to be empowered, from the way she fully immerses herself in all aspects of her craft, to the way she supports and uplifts other women in her life.
