Katy Perry kicks off new era with 'Woman's World'

Katy has been teasing this for a while, her new era is finally here with the arrival of Woman's World. 

Katy finally revealed the title, artwork and release date for her upcoming album 143, a follow-up to 2020's Smile that drops September 20 and features a hidden meaning in the name.

The message "143" was once widely used in the '90s with pagers and in early texting as a shorthand to say "I love you," according to AirDroid.com.

Perry said in a press statement that she "set out to create a bold, exuberant, celebratory dance-pop album with the symbolic 143 numerical expression of love as a throughline message," per Pitchfork.
