2010 electronic dance hit 'Shooting Stars' by Australian duo Bag Raiders was used by Troye Sivan in his 2023 hit 'Got Me Started'. 💫

An Australian collab for the history books 'Got Me Started' by Aussie popstar Troye Sivan is dancing around our heads and hearts with its catchy backing which uses Bag Raiders hit 'Shooting Stars' as the sample. The track followed the release of 'Rush', the first single of Troye's album 'Something to Give Each Other'.

The 1998 released 'Fast Car' by Tracy Chapman was covered by country singer Luke Combs in 2023. 🚗

We all know and love the original version of 'Fast Car' and could not be gladder to hear country star, Morgan Wallen' cover it! He said he was first drawn to the song while driving with his father and inspired him to release a cover that became one of the top songs of 2023!

'First Class' is Jack Harlow’s 2022 hit which used the vocals from Fergie's 'Glamorous' (2007). ✈️

'First Class' reached Number 1 on the Hot 100 in 2022 and had such a quick ascent on the charts due to the familiar vocals from Fergie's 'Glamorous' which also topped the Hot 100 in 2007.

'Blue (Da Ba Dee)' by Eiffel 65 (1998) was later sampled for I'm Good (Blue) by David Guetta and Bebe Rexha (2022). 💙

The year following release 'Blue (Da Ba Dee) gained international popularity and was nominated for a Best Dance Recording Grammy Award in 2001. In 2022, DJ phenomenon, David Guetta and country-pop star, Bebe Rexha, released 'I'm Good (Blue)' which heavily samples 'Blue' after it got leaked on TikTok and went viral!

'Tiny Dancer' by Elton John (1972) was sampled in 2022 for 'Hold Me Closer' by Elton John and Britney Spears. ❤️‍🔥

'Tiny Dancer' was a huge hit, particularly in America, when it was released. Nearing 50 years post-release Rolling Stone named it Number 47 on the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time, in 2021. The following year an unlikely duo of Elton John and Britney Spears reworked the number 1 'Hold Me Closer', and shocked everyone with being the first song Britney had released in six years.

Remember 'Big Energy' by Latto from 2021? Well, it was sampled from 'Fantasy' by Mariah Carey (1995). 🥵

'Fantasy' already saw immense international success upon release reaching Number 4 in the UK charts. 'Big Energy' then hit the world stage in 2022 when DJ Khaled remixed it. 

Taylor Swift's hit from her 2017 'reputation' album 'Look What You Made Me Do' used an interpolation of Right Said Fred's 'I'm Too Sexy' from 1991. 💋

You may not have guessed it (or heard it) but Taylor's iconic hit 'Look What You Made Me Do' used 'I'm Too Sexy' as an interpolation loop for the backing of the track. That's a collab I never knew I need!
