Harry Potter and Twilight TV Series reportedly in the works

Nostalgia is running through my veins and I'm proper fizzing at the announcement of both a Harry Potter and Twilight TV Series! 😍

Warner Bros Discovery CEO David Zaslav shared the magical news a Harry Potter TV series is coming. 

A statement from Max detailed how it will become a “decade-long series produced with the same epic craft, love and care this global franchise is known for.

“Each season will be authentic to the original books and bring Harry Potter and these incredible adventures to new audiences around the world, while the original, classic and beloved films will remain at the core of the franchise and available to watch globally.”

Rowling has also been revealed as an executive producer of the series, with reports David Heyman – who executive-produced all eight of the Harry Potter films – is also in talks to return.

Reportedly, in the works is a series on the Twilight Saga.

The Hollywood Reporter claims a version of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling books is in the early stages of development at Lionsgate Television.

It’s not known whether producers plan to repurpose the same stories for the small screen, or if they’ll take a different direction. THR further reports Sinead Daly (Raised By Wolves, Dirty John) has been tapped to write the script.

The franchise came to an end in 2012 with the release of Breaking Dawn: Part 2, which grossed more than $5 billion globally.
