It's the news you probably didn't need, but really really needed.

After three years of Amazon being in Australia, Kiwi's will now be able to buy direct from the retailer and get their goods shipped for faster and very likely cheaper deliveries.

"We are excited to offer Kiwis access to millions of products at great prices," Tony Austin, general manager of Exports for Amazon.com.au, said today.

"We know many New Zealand customers are already shopping on the US store and we are pleased to be offering them a faster option."

For Kiwi customers, standard delivery starts at A$2.99 ($3.20), while those in certain areas in Auckland and Christchurch can access expedited delivery for as little as A$6.99 ($7.49).

So, is it too early to start Christmas shopping?
