Rising star Sam Heselwood jams two tunes in ZM's Acoustic Corner!

Talented artist Sam Heselwood performed 'Home' & new single 'How's Heaven' in ZM's Acoustic Corner! 

The Ōtautahi rugby player turned songwriter has a vulnerable and heartfelt vibe to his music & the ZM office was treated to not one but two songs!  

Sam's music is warm and intimate, showcasing a refreshingly authentic sense of vulnerability, exploring themes of family, love, and mental health. He tries to break down boundaries through his music.

“I wrote ‘How’s Heaven’ as a letter to my grandad, who sadly passed away when I was young. It’s an emotional journey, expressing my regret for not having had the chance to know him better. As I’ve grown up, I’ve come to appreciate the significance of his presence in my life, and wish I had the chance to meet him as the person I am today.”

Sam's set to head to the UK in September to tour around, but before then he will play his last New Zealand show in Tāmaki Makaurau, where he will play fan favourites and showcase the new tracks off the upcoming EP, Home Is Where The Heart Is.
