EDY - Brand New (feat. Sally)

At age 24, Auckland based producer/engineer EDY has established a strong presence within the NZ music scene whilst simultaneously teaching full time as a classroom music teacher at Avondale College.

Credited for countless works with both local and international artists such as Sam V, DJ Noiz and William Singe and more, EDY hopes to open up the possibilities of recorded music and songwriting to the high school music program to encourage young Kiwi musicians to create songs of their own.

His colourful production interweaves a broad spectrum of sound, ranging from Pop to R&B/Soul and Hip Hop, drawing from a number of influences such as Ryan Leslie and Scott Storch to name a few.

“Brand New” is a bright, colourful Pop song with Motown influences, encapsulated by the themes of self-reinvention, de-stressing and cleansing of negative energy. In this unpredictable time of COVID-19, it is easy to get wrapped up in all the chaos.
